Every year Danziger’s R&D capabilities create beautiful, innovative new varieties with strong market appeal. By complementing its portfolio with respected genetics from other leading breeders, Danziger manages over 600 elite varieties - with superior genetics and traits - under breeders’ rights, and hundreds of the company's varieties are registered under Plant Breeding Rights (PBR) and Plant Patents all over the world. Danziger continuously challenges itself to develop, game-changing products that capture the market’s imagination, and its product innovation is powered by one of the largest R&D departments in the field. The company’s breeding team includes about 100 employees, consisting of an advanced R&D unit, scientists, researchers with PhDs, Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the Hebrew University Faculty of Agriculture. The team specializes in the development of innovative varieties, while investing considerable resources in research in order to stay at the forefront of advances in scientific breeding and improvements in varieties of cut flowers and ornamental plants. Danziger’s R&D unit works closely with the Faculty of Agriculture at Hebrew University and the world renowned Volcani Center of Agricultural Research in Israel. The company’s R&D managers, together with researchers in our sister companies, form a team numbering dozens of researchers and professional breeders.
